PRA Group: Marcel Köchling appointed as European Investments Officer.

Debt buyer PRA Group has appointed Marcel Köchling as European Investments Officer. Marcel is based in Germany where he will remain managing director of PRA Germany and  taking on the leadership of the European acquisitions team. This position was held by Owen James who was promoted to Global Investment Officer in 2023.

Over the last 5 years PRA Group has invested approximately $2 billion in NPL portfolio acquisitions in European markets.

PRA Group entered the European market in 2014 following the acquisition of the Norwegian group Aktiv Kapital. Operation which had a total value of approximately 1.3 billion dollars (880 million in cash and approximately 435 through the assumption of the Norwegian group’s debt exposure)
