Russia Plans to Let Tax Authorities Collect Debts Without Going to Court

Russia is moving ahead with a plan that would let tax authorities collect unpaid debts without needing court approval. According to The Moscow Times and Izvestia, if someone doesn’t dispute a tax notice within a month, the government could recover the money directly—potentially pulling it from bank accounts. The new system could take effect in November 2025 and might affect millions of people.
